Excelente artículo, como amante de las delicias culinarias y de la buena literatura, sobre todo la descriptiva, donde me identifico con el personaje y me pongo en su lugar solo de sentir y vivir sus experiencias como parte de las descripciones de lugares, emociones y sensaciones, no dejo por fuera las gastronómicas, y como lector me apasiona leer como se disfruta un delicioso plato incluyendo todos los sentidos que lo involucran.
Excellent article , as a lover of the culinary delights and good literature, especially the descriptive , when I identify myself with the character and love to be like in his place just to feel and live their experiences as part of the descriptions of places, emotions and sensations not leaving out the gastronomic ones , and as a reader I am passionate about reading how he enjoy the delicious dish including all senses involving him enjoyment.

Has this ever happened to you? Your going along, minding your own beeswax, innocently reading a book and BAM! A character eats something or smells a food and describes it in excruciating detail and your mouth is watering. You just have to have whatever the character is eating and you must haz it now! Nom Nom Nom!!
Sometimes the character is a chef as in the case of Mary Whaley the focus of Lauren Dane’s Lush or Sarah Morgan’s Élise Philippe from Suddenly Last Summer. Sometimes the characters are just eating a food that sounds yummy. As is the case with Gavin’s infamous buffalo chicken dip in Shannon Stacey’s Kowalksi books. I don’t even really like buffalo chicken, but reading the characters enjoy the cheesy gooeyness that is this dip made me want to stuff my face. *

Sin lugar a duda la mejor de las historias hasta ahora leída por mí, de mi amigo DONOVAN ROCESTER, sublime, magnífica, increíble.
Una mezcla sin comentarios más que positivos al antiguo estilo de la dimensión desconocida con un aire subliminal al maestro Stephen King, el mejor autor que conozco en literatura de terror, suspenso y ficción.
BRAVO!!! Digna de un premio.
Empeoraban día a día los dolores de Héctor, un hombre correcto y cuidadoso en todos los sentidos, pero con la retorcida suerte de haber sido diagnosticado con cáncer de páncreas.
La noticia tomó por sorpresa a Héctor, pero como hombre fuerte que era, no se derrumbó, más bien su alma estaba tranquila. A sus 55 años, había llevado una vida serena y placentera: una infancia tranquila, una vida académica ejemplar, trabajando lo debido y nada más, cuidando su salud con ejercicio y dieta. ¡Lástima que la vida a veces lance muertes horribles a gente buena! En fin.
La conciencia de Héctor estaba tranquila; no le debía nada a nadie, no tenía nada de lo cual disculparse, siempre expresó sus sentimientos al debido tiempo, amó lo debido y se marchó al tiempo justo. Sin embargo, lo único que lamentaría al morir era dejar de vivir su pasión, que eran los viajes…

Excelente artículo, no sólo desde el punto de vista de cómo llenar una página en blanco para escribir literalmente hablando en un blog o libro, simplemente la imagen que resuena en todas las actividades diarias inmensas en un mundo de cotidianidad donde terminamos siendo héroes o escritores expertos o no pero donde hacemos nuestro mejor trabajo y no dejamos de llenar decenas de páginas en blanco en nuestras vidas y la vida de las personas que nos rodean coma familia, vecinos, compañeros de trabajo. El penúltimo párrafo donde describes que todos tenemos nuestra propia página en blanco es realmente una forma de inspirarnos a empezar a escribir o seguir haciéndolo día a día. Gracias Kate.
Excellent article , not only from the standpoint of how to fill a blank page to write literally a blog or book, just the image that resonates in all our daily activities immense in a world of everyday life which ended up making us being heroes or expert writers or not but where we do our best work and do not stop to fill dozens of blank pages in our lives and the lives of people around us like family, neighbors, coworkers. Sometimes (every week) I sit down to write and I stare at the blank page and wonder in terror how the words in my head that I haven’t thought of yet will make it onto the page. Where will they come from? What will they look like? But most importantly, will they appear at all? And at some point each week, without fail, there comes a moment when I think, Nope, I don’t have it in me this week. I have nothing to say about anything. I should just quit and eat some snacks instead.
But also each week, without fail, I think, Oh, stop being so dramatic and just write something. I’ll give you a snack if you just finish something. And never one to turn down food, I return to the blank page one more time.

Increíble inspiración, tiempo sin leer un artículo que transmita la esencia de crear desde el alma y no desde la mente aunque ambas se entrelacen en sinergia para lograr algo sublime. Además de consejos, y otros blogs para seguir (yo mismo me apuntaré a revisar algunos de ellos que me llaman la atención). Gracias Jamie.
Incredible inspiration, a long time without reading an article to forward the essence of creating from the soul and not just from the mind although both are intertwined in synergy to achieve something sublime. There is no short cut to creating a writing life.
There is no 3-step process, no silver bullet, no magic spell.
You plant the seeds. You water. You wait.
Sometimes you say nice things, nurturing words of encouragement and inspiration.
Sometimes you slip up, and mutter dark, sharp things under your breath. Cutting things that slice carelessly into tender green shoots.
But somehow, the seedling survives.
You say you’re sorry. You add some nutrients to the soil. You let some sunshine in.
You keep writing.
Some days, you think you know how this writing life will turn out. You feel like you have a plan. A purpose. A path. It all makes sense, and you work away – pruning and fertilizing – secure in your sense of certainty.
